PENCAK SILAT MERPATIH PUTIH

               Merpati Putih (MP) is one of the Empty Hands martial arts schools (PPS Betako) and is one of the nation's cultural assets, began to form this type of martial arts in around the 1550s and needs to be preserved and developed in harmony with the development and progress of science knowledge and technology today. At present MP is a member of the All Indonesia Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) and the Martial Arts Federation For World Peace (MAFWP) and the Inter-National Pencak Silat Alliance or PERSILAT (International Pencak Silat Federation).

               The meaning of Merpati Putih itself is an abbreviation in Javanese, namely: Mersudi Patitising Titising Silent Titising Act which in Indonesian means "Searching for the Truth with Peace" so that it is hoped that a Merpati Putih Member will harmonize his heart and mind in all his actions. Besides that, Petak Betako Merpati Putih has a motto: "My contribution is worthless, but my sincerity is real".
